The CEC Student Film Fest was started in 2018 by the Burlingame High School Environmental Club and Citizens Environmental Council in order to spread awareness of various environmental concerns and promote sustainable habits. In 2022 Nueva School's Social Impact Filmmaking Club joined the film fest team.

The fest provides an opportunity for students with a passion for protecting the earth to create a video that educates and inspires others to protect the environment - and win a cash prize in the process!
